Bipolar Mood Swings Normal

Have you ever thought you had bipolar (manic depressive disorder) as your mood swings really did seem to go beyond the normal? If you have, you are not alone. Women are emotional and that is okay. John Gray explains it saying 'Women are like waves'. We ebb and flow. Sometimes we are up and sometimes we are down. The down times are when we feel overwhelmed and even say we feel like we cannot cope. Everyone gets sad sometimes – sadness is an emotion. It is okay to feel sad.

Traditional Thinking

Traditional thinking would say this is the precursor to depression and have you sent off to the doctors to pick up your prescription of Tramadol, Zoloft or Prozac. Others say we should not be emotional – "Just work through it.", "Have another wine", or "Go and have a massage". God gave us emotions so we are able to feel like to the full. Men – when your women is feeling sad just hold her and don't try and fix her – or expect her to feel better straight away.

Women… knowing we are emotional beings – how about we do something about it and take responsibility to lessen the impact on those around us – especially those closest to us. Develop your emotional intelligence. Cry at appropriate times to let the sadness out. Go and see a sad movie.
